A highly respected AmLaw 200 firm is seeking a Commercial & Creditors' Rights Litigation Associate Attorney to join its New York office.
This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing financial institutions, secured and unsecured creditors, commercial lenders, loan servicers, and corporate clients in sophisticated commercial litigation and creditors' rights matters.
• 2–4 years of commercial litigation and/or creditors' rights litigation experience gained at a sophisticated law firm
• Experience representing commercial lenders, banks, financial institutions, loan servicers, creditors, and other business clients
• Experience handling creditors' rights litigation, commercial loan enforcement, foreclosure actions, UCC disputes, guaranty enforcement, collections litigation, and related commercial disputes
• Experience with all phases of litigation, including pleadings, motion practice, discovery, depositions, mediation, court appearances, and trial preparation
• Experience litigating matters involving breach of contract, business torts, lender liability, secured transactions, and commercial finance disputes is preferred
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills
• Ability to independently manage litigation matters while maintaining significant client interaction
• Excellent academic credentials
• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required
• New York bar admission required or ability to become admitted
