Business Development Director

The Business Development Director is responsible for driving TCR North America's commercial growth and customer engagement. This role plays a critical part in expanding market presence, developing new business, and ensuring strong Key Account Management. Theposition is accountable for building strategic customer relationships, aligning business development initiatives with operational and fleet strategies, and supporting long-term growth and profitability.

This position is available in: Newark (NJ), Detroit (MI), Chicago (IL), Boston (MA), New York (NY), San Francisco (CA).

This is a hybrid role, allowing 1-2 days of remote work.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development & Strategy:

  • Develop and execute regional growth strategies across GSE Leasing & Maintenance, Sale & Leaseback, and Airport Solutions. Build a robust pipeline of profitable opportunities and support M&A or partnership evaluations.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Lead key account management, conduct strategic business reviews, and foster long-term partnerships with airlines, airports, ground handlers, and OEMs.

Commercial Delivery & Operations:

  • Oversee contract implementation, align service delivery with operational capabilities, and ensure accurate revenue billing.

Process Optimization & Collaboration:

  • Standardize commercial processes, develop business cases, and negotiate contracts with a focus on profitability and compliance. Collaborate with global stakeholders to share best practices.

We are looking for an individual who has:

  • Proven success in business development or key account management within aviation.
  • Strong network across the aviation ecosystem.
  • Commercial acumen with experience structuring and closing complex deals.
  • Ability to analyze market trends, develop business cases, and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and project management skills.
  • Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus.
