Duties:
- Safely operate CDL A tractor-trailers, including manual transmission trucks, across local, regional routes.
- Ensuring secure and damage-free deliveries.
- Drive a variety of specialized trailers including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks as required.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Follow designated routes efficiently while maintaining accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and mileage.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle to ensure safety standards are met at all times.
Qualifications:
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record.
- Experience driving tractor-trailers with manual transmissions preferred.
- Proven delivery driver experience with knowledge of route driving and freight handling.
- Familiarity with operating various truck types including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to commercial driving and vehicle maintenance.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers, customers, and team members.
