Position Summary

Our company is seeking an experienced Commercial Drywall & Acoustical Estimator to prepare accurate, competitive estimates for commercial drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, insulation, and related specialty construction projects. The successful candidate will partner with leadership, project management, field operations, vendors, subcontractors, and clients to secure profitable work and ensure a seamless transition from estimating to project execution. This is a full-time, in-person position based in our Crofton, Maryland office.

Essential Functions

Prepare complete quantity take-offs using OST and QuickBid; review plans, specifications, and addenda; identify scope gaps and value engineering opportunities; attend pre-bid meetings and site visits; solicit and evaluate vendor pricing; prepare RFIs and bid packages; analyze labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs; participate in bid reviews; coordinate project handoffs and job setup; maintain estimating documentation; perform post-project reviews; perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5–7 years of commercial drywall estimating experience.
• Experience estimating drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, insulation, and related systems.
• Experience bidding projects exceeding $10 million.
• Strong blueprint reading, analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with On-Screen Takeoff (OST), QuickBid, Bluebeam Revu, Microsoft Office, construction accounting software, OSHA 30 certification, and a degree in Construction Management or a related field.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., in-person in Crofton. Occasional travel to project sites. Ability to walk active construction sites, climb stairs, navigate uneven terrain, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

Reporting Relationship

Reports to the Vice President of Estimating or other designated supervisor.
