    Obodo Energy is seeking an experienced Electrical Foreman to lead commercial electrical construction projects throughout Arizona. This is a working foreman position—you'll lead your crew from the front while remaining actively involved in the installation of electrical systems.

    We're looking for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, values safety, develops people, and enjoys solving problems in the field. You'll work closely with Project Managers, General Contractors, inspectors, and clients to deliver projects safely, on schedule, and with exceptional quality.

    Obodo Energy is a rapidly growing Arizona commercial contractor performing electrical construction projects for commercial buildings, municipalities, schools, industrial facilities, and institutional clients.

    Our commercial electrical division performs new construction, tenant improvements, service upgrades, lighting systems, underground distribution, EV charging infrastructure, backup power systems, and other commercial electrical projects. We are building a team of professionals who value craftsmanship, accountability, and long-term relationships.

    Position Summary

    The Electrical Foreman is responsible for managing all field operations on assigned commercial electrical projects. This includes supervising crews, coordinating materials and equipment, maintaining project schedules, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering high-quality installations while actively working alongside the crew.

    Responsibilities

    Lead Field Operations

    • Supervise electrical crews on commercial construction projects.
    • Plan daily work activities and coordinate manpower.
    • Maintain project schedules and production goals.
    • Coordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, General Contractors, inspectors, and other trades.
    • Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

    Working Foreman

    This is not a trailer position.

    You'll remain actively involved in field installation including:

    • EMT, PVC, Rigid, and underground conduit installation
    • Wire pulling and cable installation
    • Switchgear, panelboards, transformers, disconnects, and distribution equipment
    • Lighting systems and lighting controls
    • Branch circuit installation
    • Service upgrades
    • EV charging equipment
    • Equipment rough-in and final trim
    • Electrical troubleshooting and testing
    • Startup and commissioning assistance

    Safety Leadership

    • Lead daily safety meetings and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs).
    • Enforce OSHA and company safety requirements.
    • Maintain organized, clean, and professional jobsites.
    • Identify hazards before work begins.
    • Promote a culture where every employee goes home safely every day.

    Quality Control

    • Ensure all work complies with NEC, local codes, project specifications, and engineered drawings.
    • Review installations for workmanship and accuracy.
    • Coordinate inspections with AHJs.
    • Identify field conflicts early and communicate RFIs and potential change orders.

    Crew Leadership

    • Mentor apprentice and journeyman electricians.
    • Delegate work effectively.
    • Develop crew members through coaching and hands-on training.
    • Maintain a positive, productive team environment built on accountability and respect.

    Project Administration

    • Read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and one-line diagrams.
    • Maintain daily reports and production tracking.
    • Coordinate material deliveries and equipment needs.
    • Track field changes and document change order opportunities.
    • Assist in maintaining accurate as-built drawings.

    Qualifications

    Required

    • 5+ years of commercial electrical construction experience.
    • 2+ years leading electrical crews.
    • Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
    • Experience supervising commercial electrical installations from rough-in through final inspection.
    • Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and specifications.
    • Strong conduit bending and installation skills.
    • Experience with:
    • Switchgear
    • Distribution equipment
    • Transformers
    • Panelboards
    • Motor controls
    • Lighting systems
    • Underground electrical systems
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
    • Valid driver's license.

    Preferred

    • Journeyman Electrician certification.
    • OSHA 30 certification.
    • Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, or similar construction software.
    • Experience with backup generators, automatic transfer switches (ATS), and EV charging infrastructure.

    Physical Requirements

    • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
    • Climb ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts.
    • Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
    • Stand, kneel, bend, climb, and work overhead throughout the day.
    • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and construction equipment.
