Commercial Electrician – Showboat ResortJob Summary Responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems throughout the resort to ensure a safe, reliable, and efficient environment for guests and employees.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, inspect, maintain, and repair commercial electrical systems and equipment.Troubleshoot electrical problems involving lighting, power distribution, motors, control panels, and emergency systems.Perform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment and building systems.Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics.Install and replace electrical fixtures, outlets, switches, breakers, and panels.Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC), New Jersey electrical codes, and OSHA safety regulations.Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders.Coordinate with engineering, facilities, and other departments to complete projects with minimal disruption to guests.Other facilities repairs as directed by the Chief Engineer and/or General Manager.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED.Journeyman Electrician or equivalent commercial electrical experience preferred.Experience in commercial, hotel, casino, or resort maintenance is an advantage.Knowledge of electrical distribution systems, generators, motors, and lighting controls.Ability to read electrical drawings and use testing equipment.Valid New Jersey driver's license may be required.SkillsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.Knowledge of electrical safety standards.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Willingness to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and respond to emergency calls when needed.Physical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds.Ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and stand or walk for extended periods.Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
