Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in commercial buildings in accordance with safety codes and standards.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to determine the layout of electrical systems.
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using appropriate testing devices to ensure compatibility and safety.
- Identify electrical problems and troubleshoot malfunctions to perform necessary repairs promptly.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other construction team members to coordinate electrical installations and ensure timely project completion.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes and regulations throughout all phases of work.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work environments in adherence to company policies and OSHA guidelines.
- Document completed work, materials used, and time spent performing tasks for accurate reporting and project tracking.
Requirements
- Valid Commercial Electrician license or certification required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial electrical work within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuitry, and wiring methods.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Proficient in the use of electrical testing equipment and hand tools.
- Strong commitment to safety practices and adherence to OSHA regulations.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.
