Commercial Estimator – Carpentry / Interiors

A well-established General Contractor is looking for an experienced Commercial Estimator with a background in carpentry, interiors, or specialty construction to join their team.

This is a great opportunity for an Estimator who understands construction from the field through the estimating process and wants to play a key role in pricing and securing commercial projects. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of interior construction, carpentry, materials, subcontractors, and project costs.

Estimator Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction estimating experience

• Strong background in carpentry, interiors, finish work, or specialty commercial construction

• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and project documents

• Experience preparing detailed estimates, budgets, scopes of work, and bid proposals

• Strong understanding of labor, materials, subcontractor pricing, and production costs

• Ability to solicit, analyze, and level subcontractor and vendor bids

• Experience with quantity takeoffs and cost analysis

• Strong understanding of commercial construction means, methods, and sequencing

• Ability to identify potential scope gaps, exclusions, and cost risks

• Strong communication and negotiation skills

• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple estimates and deadlines
