Commercial Construction Estimator | Greenville, NC Area

Join an established commercial general contractor estimating projects across retail, grocery, restaurant, fuel/convenience, and other commercial sectors. This is a true estimating role with no Project Management responsibilities after award.

About the Company & Role

• Established commercial GC with repeat national and regional clients.
• Collaborative, in-person preconstruction team with dedicated takeoff support.
• Office-based in Eastern North Carolina near Greenville. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate.
• Hybrid flexibility may be considered later for a proven fit but is not part of the initial offer.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare estimates from bid review through final pricing.
• Review plans, specifications, takeoffs, scopes, subcontractor proposals, and supplier pricing.
• Develop pricing across applicable trades and scopes.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor coverage.
• Identify scope gaps, pricing risks, and constructability concerns.
• Participate in preconstruction meetings and manage estimating responsibilities within assigned sectors or accounts.
• Hand awarded projects off to the operations and Project Management team.

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of commercial construction estimating experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction pricing, plans, specifications, scopes, and subcontractor coverage.
• Ability to independently price work after learning the company’s platform and processes.
• Retail, grocery, restaurant/QSR, fuel/convenience, or other programmatic commercial experience is a plus but not required.
• Previous field experience is a plus.
• Self-sufficient, organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative.
• Strong junior candidates with high growth potential may also be considered.
