Education Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, trade certification, or equivalent combination of education and hands-on maintenance experience preferred.
  • Relevant training in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, building maintenance, or related skilled trades is highly valued.
  • EPA Universal Certification preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record required.

Experience Requirements

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in commercial facilities maintenance, building maintenance, property maintenance, or related trades.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general building repairs.
  • Experience troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing commercial building systems and equipment.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency using smartphones, tablets, work order management systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in landscaping, construction, janitorial services, or specialty maintenance is a plus.
  • Sewer line cleanout and plumbing repair experience preferred.

Physical Capabilities

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and work in various commercial property environments.
  • Frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Capable of safely working around mechanical equipment, electrical systems, and maintenance tools.
  • Daily travel between customer locations required.

Job Duties

  • Perform preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, and routine inspections on commercial buildings, equipment, and grounds.
  • Complete work orders involving plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, lighting, and general facility repairs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve building maintenance issues to ensure safe and efficient facility operations.
  • Inspect assets, document completed work, and maintain accurate service reports using mobile technology.
  • Coordinate materials and supplies needed to complete maintenance tasks efficiently.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining strong relationships with property stakeholders.
  • Follow OSHA regulations, safety standards, and maintenance procedures at all times.
  • Prepare repair recommendations, support project estimates, and respond to emergency maintenance needs as required.

What You Will Do

As a Commercial Facilities Maintenance Technician you will inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment, machinery, and facility systems to support safe and efficient operations.
