Job Title: Commercial HVAC and Refrigeration Service Technician
FLSA Status: Non-exempt, Hourly
Union: Local 6 or Local 45
Summary: MMCs Service department is the largest mechanical service department in Minnesota. Our project managers manage large portfolios of complicated buildings. MMC prides itself on building strong customer relationships. As a HVAC and Refrigeration Service Technician, you will be responsible for delivering effective, efficient, and timely delivery of MMCs services to multiple customers within an assigned geographic territory. You will be provided with a company van and tools and are required to travel to a variety of customer sites to maintain commercial properties. You will be required to repair, retrofit, and install commercial HVAC equipment. You will be working in a team and will be the daily face-to-face contact that develops strong, lasting customer relations.

• Display quality customer service skills • Working knowledge of systems and troubleshooting • Capable of working independently with good time management • Strives for positive metrics results • Completes preventative maintenance and repairs per work order requirements • Self-performs the following duties in compliance with company procedures, regulatory requirements, and safety standards • Fully utilizes technology (tablet, smartphone) to access and complete work orders, including notes on services provided • Create and submit Service Reports and Quality Inspection images and reports • Submit timesheets & expense reports • Obtains necessary materials and supplies to complete all tasks • Creates a positive climate with the client, provides, and generates customer satisfaction • Maintains timely and consistent communications with customer and internal support teams • Provide exceptional customer service with the goal of maintaining and strengthening client relationships and agreements • Contribute and work well with a strong, passionate team
Qualifications and Experience:
• HS diploma or Degree • Certification or equivalent professional experience in Trades (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, etc.) preferred • Experience in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of building mechanical systems, including HVAC systems • Two to five years mechanical experience or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience • Must possess applicable certifications, licenses, and a valid drivers license in good standing • Must be a Member in good standing or Join Local Union 6
Physical Requirements:
• Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear • Frequently required to climb or balance • Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
