TradeWorX is recruiting a Commercial HVAC Estimator / Mechanical Estimator for a direct-hire opportunity with an established employee-owned commercial mechanical contractor in Lancaster, PA. This role is built for an estimator with commercial HVAC, mechanical systems, design-build, takeoff, bid preparation, and preconstruction experience who wants long-term stability and a strong career path.

Pay & Overtime:
$75, 000–$90, 000 annually based on commercial HVAC estimating experience, design-build background, software proficiency, and interview. Sign-on bonus available for qualified candidates.

Schedule:
Full-time direct-hire opportunity. Standard business schedule expected. Site visits, preconstruction meetings, and bid deadlines may require schedule flexibility.

Job Duties:
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial HVAC installations, renovations, and design-build projects
  • Review plans, specifications, proposals, blueprints, and scope documents
  • Perform takeoffs, labor calculations, material pricing, and equipment cost reviews
  • Evaluate supplier, vendor, and subcontractor pricing
  • Identify scope gaps, code considerations, project challenges, and value-engineering opportunities
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, vendors, clients, and internal teams to support accurate bid submissions

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years of commercial construction estimating experience preferred
  • Strong HVAC systems knowledge and understanding of commercial mechanical construction
  • Ability to read blueprints, specifications, proposals, and scope documents
  • Experience with design-build projects or integrated project delivery preferred
  • Estimating software and Microsoft Office proficiency
  • CAD or Revit experience is a plus

Ideal Candidate:
  • Experienced Commercial HVAC Estimator, Mechanical Estimator, or Preconstruction Estimator
  • Strong with takeoffs, bids, vendor pricing, labor/material estimates, and deadlines
  • Comfortable working with project managers, engineers, vendors, and clients
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple estimates at once
