Commercial HVAC Field Service & Controls Specialist

MIH Systems Group specializes in optimizing complex building systems. Our consulting team commissions new and existing facilities; our technical services team starts up equipment from a wide range of HVAC manufacturers. We are industry leaders focused on logistical, energy-conscious, and cost-effective outcomes.

Why this role matters

We are expanding our service business across New Jersey and need both seasoned and entry-level technicians who can bring systems online, solve problems, and keep occupants comfortable and safe while conserving energy.

Key responsibilities

• Start up, commission, and service commercial HVAC equipment
• Calibrate, verify, and adjust ventilation, humidity, and energy management settings
• Troubleshoot and repair across air-conditioning and heating systems
• Support and mentor junior technicians
• Maintain clear documentation and communicate with clients and internal teams

Must-have qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial HVAC field experience
• Knowledge of commercial air-conditioning, heating, water source heat pumps, and rooftop packaged systems
• Demonstrated startup/commissioning experience
• Experience mentoring others in the field
• Personal hand tools and a clean driving record
• EPA Universal certification
• OSHA 30 preferred
• Self-directed, strong communicator, punctual

Estimated Salary: $35/hourly - $55/hourly based on experience and skills plus benefits

Territory

Field service throughout the NJ area.
