Position Summary
The Commercial HVAC Foreman serves as the on-site leader for mechanical construction projects, providing direction to field personnel while coordinating with Project Managers, General Contractors, and subcontractors. The ideal candidate has a strong commercial HVAC background, proven leadership experience, and the ability to manage multiple project priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Crew Leadership
Supervise, coordinate, and mentor HVAC installers, mechanics, and apprentices.
Assign daily work activities and monitor crew productivity.
Maintain a professional, team-oriented jobsite culture.
Project Management & Execution
Oversee daily field operations to keep projects on schedule and within labor budgets.
Coordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, and General Contractors to resolve field issues.
Identify potential delays and implement solutions to maintain project timelines.
Quality Control
Ensure all work complies with project specifications, mechanical codes, and industry standards.
Review blueprints, drawings, specifications, and technical submittals.
Conduct routine quality inspections to ensure proper installation and workmanship.
Jobsite Administration
Manage material deliveries, inventory, and equipment utilization.
Maintain accurate timesheets, daily reports, and progress documentation.
Assist with project inspections, punch lists, and closeout activities.
Safety & Compliance
Enforce OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and site-specific requirements.
Conduct safety meetings and ensure safe work practices are followed at all times.
Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and compliance.
Required Qualifications
Experience
5+ years of commercial HVAC or mechanical construction experience.
2+ years in a Foreman, Lead Installer, or similar supervisory role.
Experience managing commercial new construction, renovation, or retrofit projects.
Technical Knowledge
Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems, ductwork, hydronic piping, and mechanical equipment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Certifications & Licenses
Valid Texas Driver's License with a clean driving record.
EPA Certification preferred.
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification preferred.
Texas HVACR or Mechanical License is a plus.
