Commercial HVAC Installer - Oklahoma
Bring climate control expertise to Oklahoma's commercial projects! We are seeking a skilled Commercial HVAC Installers to set up, service, and optimize heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in retail, office, and institutional buildings.
Position Overview
As a Commercial HVAC Installer, you will interpret mechanical drawings, install ductwork, mount and wire HVAC units, and perform system start-ups. You'll collaborate with project managers and other trades to sequence work, troubleshoot field issues, and ensure systems run at peak efficiency. This full-time, on-site role offers consistent hours, optional overtime, and a clear path for career growth.
What You'll Do
- Read and interpret HVAC blueprints, schematics, and duct designs
- Install, align, and secure air handlers, condensers, furnaces, chillers, and ductwork
- Wire thermostats, controls, and electrical panels per manufacturer specifications
- Charge systems with refrigerant and perform leak tests to ensure airtight operation
- Calibrate airflow, temperature, and pressure settings for balanced comfort
- Conduct start-up procedures, system performance tests, and client walkthroughs
- Follow all safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and local code requirements
What You Bring
- 2+ years of commercial HVAC installation experience
- EPA Section 608 certification (Type I, II, or III) required; NATE certification preferred
- Proficiency with sheet metal fabrication, ductwork layout, and pipe fitting
- Strong electrical wiring skills and familiarity with HVAC controls
- Hands-on experience with refrigerant handling and leak detection tools
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork abilities
- Reliable attendance record and commitment to safety and quality
- OK Apprentice or Journeyman Mechanical license preferred.
Pay & Benefits
Pay Range: $20.00 - $45.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Shift: Day shift, Monday-Friday, with optional overtime
