Job Title: Commercial HVAC / Sheet Metal Installer
Location: Savannah Georgia
Job Type: Full-Time

Position Summary

We are seeking skilled and dependable Commercial HVAC & Sheet Metal Installers to install, assemble, and maintain HVAC systems and sheet metal components for commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will have experience reading blueprints, installing ductwork, HVAC units and working safely in commercial construction environments.

• Mechanic/Journeyman level with 5 years of experience required

Key Responsibilities

• Install commercial HVAC equipment, ductwork, and sheet metal components according to project specifications and drawings.
• Fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal duct systems, fittings, and accessories.
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and mechanical plans.
• Install HVAC units, air handlers, rooftop units (RTUs), VAV boxes, diffusers, and related equipment.
• Measure, cut, bend, and secure sheet metal using hand and power tools.
• Ensure all installations comply with applicable building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
• Coordinate with project managers, foremen, and other trades to maintain project schedules.
• Perform system startup assistance and troubleshooting as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Complete daily reports and documentation as required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in commercial HVAC and/or sheet metal installation.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, ductwork installation, and sheet metal fabrication.
• Familiarity with local building codes and industry standards.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, lifts, and measuring devices safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and workmanship.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to work from ladders, scaffolding, lifts, and elevated platforms.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and construction environments.
• Frequent bending, kneeling, climbing, and standing for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
• HVAC certifications or trade school training.
• Experience with commercial new construction projects.

Pay Range: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour, based on experience and will be determined in the final interview with an offer.
