Your morning opens on a NYC rooftop, a packaged unit throwing intermittent alarms. By lunch you’re in New Jersey, tracking a refrigeration control fault that only appears under load. You wrap the day optimizing airflow after a preventive maintenance visit—because performance matters as much as repairs.

This is commercial and industrial work across the NYC metro area and New Jersey—not residential swap-outs. You’ll own the call, think through the entire system, and communicate clearly with customers and your service team.

What You’ll Tackle

• Commercial rooftop units and split systems
• Refrigeration equipment and systems
• Boilers and chillers
• Make-up air and exhaust systems
• Electrical, airflow, mechanical, and controls diagnostics
• Preventive maintenance and performance optimization
• Commercial and industrial facilities throughout NYC Metro and NJ

How You Operate

• You troubleshoot first—parts replacement is the outcome of a good diagnosis, not the plan.
• You understand refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, and controls fundamentals.
• Your workmanship is clean and professional, and you communicate with confidence.
• You take responsibility from arrival through resolution and follow-up.
• You’re committed to continuously improving your craft.

Credentials

• Active EPA certification required; Universal EPA strongly preferred
• Valid driver’s license with an insurable, clean record
• NYC OSHA/SST preferred

Compensation, Tools, and Support

• $35–$65 per hour, commensurate with experience
