Position Summary
As a Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician, you will diagnose, repair, install, and maintain commercial heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration systems for retail and commercial customers. This position requires strong troubleshooting skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to work independently in the field.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance and equipment inspections
- Install HVAC/R systems, components, and replacement equipment
- Service rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, package units, refrigeration systems, boilers, and controls
- Work on commercial HVAC systems ranging from 1 to 50+ tons
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control system issues
- Recommend repair and replacement solutions to customers
- Complete work orders, service reports, and required documentation accurately
- Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment in clean working condition
- Adhere to company safety standards and industry best practices
- Provide professional customer service at all job sites
- Participate in an on-call rotation, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of Commercial HVAC/R Service experience
- Graduate of an accredited HVAC technical training program
- EPA Universal Certification (Required)
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record

- Advanced troubleshooting and controls experience
- Additional HVAC/R certifications
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and materials as required
- Ability to climb ladders and work on rooftops
- Frequent bending, kneeling, crawling, reaching, and standing
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to work safely in commercial and retail environments
