About Flo-Rite Mechanical LLC
Flo-Rite Mechanical is a premier, fast-growing Commercial HVAC contractor serving the Texas Triangle (San Antonio, Austin, Houston, and surrounding areas). We don't just fix equipment; we design and execute precise, high-performance mechanical solutions for commercial, industrial, and institutional clients. Driven by our core values—Trust, Respect, Accountability, Communication, and Integrity—we are building a world-class service division. We are not looking for a desk-bound manager. We are seeking a strategic, self-motivated business leader to take full operational ownership of our multi-market service department, mentor our technicians, and help us set the standard for commercial mechanical service in Texas.

Why Choose Flo-Rite?
  • True Commercial Scope: You will lead operations across major Texas metroplexes, managing large-scale commercial retrofits, critical corporate accounts, and complex mechanical systems.
  • Empowered Leadership: You will have full operational and financial ownership over budgets, P&L, service metrics, and team development.
  • Elite Culture: Work in a positive, collaborative, and highly professional environment where your growth is directly tied to the company's expansion.
  • Premium Benefits: 100% Employer-Paid Medical, Dental, & Vision Insurance, 401(k), 8 Paid Holidays + PTO.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational & Financial Ownership: Drive strategic planning for the commercial service division. Manage departmental budgets, track job costs, analyze P&L, and optimize technician labor efficiency.
  • Team Leadership & Apprentice Development: Recruit, hire, and mentor a high-performing team of commercial technicians. Identify skill gaps and design ongoing training programs to build the sharpest field crew in Texas.
  • Commercial Quote & Lifecycle Management: Oversee the estimating, professional submission, client negotiation, and meticulous execution of complex commercial repair proposals and preventive maintenance agreements.
  • Technical Quality Control: Serve as the final technical authority on complex commercial systems (large RTUs, multi-zone systems, gas piping, electrical, and control loops). Ensure absolute mechanical code compliance.
  • Client Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact for key commercial accounts, resolving escalated field issues with radical integrity and clear communication.
  • Logistics & Inventory Flow: Streamline parts procurement, manage major equipment deliveries, and oversee tool/inventory controls to eliminate field downtime.

Required Experience & Qualifications:
  • Commercial Expertise: 10+ years of hands-on commercial HVAC mechanical experience (including commercial electrical, piping, and advanced hydronic systems).
  • Leadership Track Record: 2+ years of proven supervisory or operational management experience running a commercial field team.
  • Business Acumen: Strong experience reading schematics, interpreting mechanical codes, managing job costing, and leveraging software (dispatch/CRM/accounting tools).
  • Core Value Alignment: A natural leader built on Accountability, Trust, and exceptional Customer Service.
  • Physical & Compliance Standards: Ability to climb ladders, access rooftops, utilize lift equipment, and lift up to 50 lbs. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; must pass a national background check.

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Base Salary: $95,000-$115,000
  • Health & Wellness: Employer-Paid Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance.
  • Time Off: 8 Paid Company Holidays plus Paid Time Off (PTO).
  • Future Security: Comprehensive 401(k) retirement plan.
  • Tools of the Trade: Company vehicle/truck package with full fuel card, company uniforms, and continuous paid ongoing education.
