Commercial HVAC Service Mechanic (AAON/Chiller Focus)

Join a hands-on service team trusted to keep mission-critical HVAC systems running safely and efficiently.

Core duties

• Install, maintain, and repair a range of HVAC systems in commercial and property environments.
• Diagnose faults using ohmmeters and other diagnostic tools to identify electrical/mechanical issues.
• Complete routine maintenance to uphold efficiency and safety compliance.
• Repair/replace key components: compressors, pumps, and motors.
• Perform welding for structural or system repair needs and new installs.
• Support property maintenance activities tied to HVAC operations.
• Provide clear, courteous customer communication and service updates.
• Drive company vehicles to and from job sites.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an HVAC/HVACR technician or similar service role.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
• Effective, professional communication with clients and teammates.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record for van driving.

Preferred experience

• AAON and/or chiller background preferred.
• Knowledge of refrigeration systems plus chiller and boiler operations; Laars and Aerco preferred.
• Appliance/equipment repair familiarity.
• Ability to perform basic plumbing related to HVAC installs/repairs (plus).
• HVAC certification or related trade credential preferred, not required.

Toolbox and tech

• Comfort with HVAC/R Systems and standard diagnostic instruments, including ohmmeters.
