Commercial HVAC Service Technician

Nielsen Mechanical ( a Crete United Company) seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team full time. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot various HVAC systems. The HVAC Technician will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure optimal system performance and customer satisfaction.

Location: Colorado Springs, CO 

Type: Full time permanent employment 

Pay: $35-$50 an hour (DOE) 

Responsibilities:

• Install and maintain HVAC systems in commercial settings.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems.
• Repair or replace defective components using tools such as an ohmmeter and brazing equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during all work activities.
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding system performance and repairs needed.
• Document all service calls, repairs, and maintenance performed on equipment.
• Collaborate with other technicians to build and maintain efficient HVAC systems.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, or repair.
• Knowledge of hydronics/boiler systems is a must.
• Proficiency in appliance repair and mechanical skills is essential.
• Ability to plumb systems as required for installations or repairs.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Familiarity with industry tools including but not limited to ohmmeters and welding equipment.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
• Relevant certifications or licenses in HVAC technology are preferred but not mandatory.
