Precision Heating & Air Conditioning is a 45-year-old commercial and industrial HVAC company based in Skokie, IL, with a deep specialty in nursing homes and healthcare facilities across Chicagoland and is currently looking to add Commercial HVAC Service Technicians to the team. We have never had a salesperson and our technicians carry no upsell quotas: the work is honest, expert service on real commercial equipment, backed by a mentoring culture where 18 to 20 year tenures are common. We are growing fast and turning away business, so we are adding experienced commercial techs now.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial HVAC equipment including rooftop units, commercial boilers, and chillers
- Perform preventative maintenance and system start-ups
- Complete service documentation in ServiceTitan
- Read blueprints and technical documents
- Communicate professionally with customers and team members, including in occupied healthcare settings
- Work independently while collaborating with other technicians when needed
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites and follow all safety procedures
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- 3 to 7 years of HVAC experience with real commercial/industrial equipment (not residential-only)
- Strong diagnostic skills across boilers, chillers, and rooftop systems
- Nursing home or healthcare facility experience is a major plus
- Professional communication and a clean, customer-ready presence
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Must pass a pre-employment background and drug screen
