Responsibilities:

As a Commercial HVAC Technician, your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
2. Identifying maintenance risks on equipment and implementing corrective measures.
3. Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
4. Cleaning, adjusting, and repairing systems, and performing warranty services.
5. Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
6. Providing technical direction and on-the-job training to junior staff.
7. Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.
8. Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act.
9. Complying with service standards, work instructions, and customers' requirements.
10. Assisting with customers' queries and providing expert advice and solutions.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience repairing commercial / industrial HVAC systems.
2. Proficiency in interpreting electrical and mechanical plans.
3. Solid understanding and experience with various mechanical equipment including cooling towers, pumps, burners, RTU's, VRF, and VAV systems.
4. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
5. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
6. Ability to work independently and in a team.
7. EPA Universal Certification.
8. Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures.
9. Iowa HVAC License (or ability to obtain)
10. A valid driver's license.
