The Assistant Project Manager will support the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial and industrial construction projects, with a primary focus on warehouse, big‑box, and tilt‑up developments. This role works closely with Project Managers and field teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Description

  • Assist Project Managers with day‑to‑day management of commercial and industrial construction projects
  • Support project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and cost tracking
  • Coordinate RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation using Procore
  • Communicate with subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and internal teams to ensure alignment
  • Track material procurement and delivery schedules
  • Participate in project meetings and assist with meeting minutes and follow‑ups
  • Monitor project progress and help identify potential risks or schedule impacts
  • Ensure project documentation is accurate, organized, and up to date

Profile

A successful Commercial/Industrial Assistant Project Manager (APM) should have:

  • 2-5+ years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer, or similar role
  • Proven experience in commercial and industrial construction, specifically:
  • Warehouses
  • Big‑box retail
  • Tilt‑up concrete construction (required)
  • Proficient with Procore and construction document management systems
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and schedules
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to work on site and collaborate with field and office teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
