Step Into a Day in the Field

Mural Industrial Staffing is recruiting a seasoned technician on behalf of a well-established commercial, industrial, and refrigeration HVAC provider serving clients across the York and Grand Island, Nebraska areas. Your primary service radius will center on roughly 30 minutes around York, NE.

At 7:30 AM you arrive at the shop, review your service calls, load parts, and head out. The morning might start with a large-tonnage rooftop unit that needs a controls reset and root-cause analysis. By midday, you’re tuning a chiller and inspecting a boiler loop at an industrial site. Later, you’ll switch gears to service small refrigeration equipment—reach-in coolers or an ice machine at a commercial kitchen—before wrapping with documentation and client recommendations. You work independently, communicate clearly with facilities teams, and keep your truck and tools in professional condition. When it’s your weekend rotation, you’re ready to respond to emergencies within one hour.

What You’ll Do

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial HVAC systems: chillers, boilers, rooftop units, and building management/control systems.
  • Service small refrigeration equipment including reach-in coolers, ice machines, and commercial kitchen refrigeration.
  • Execute preventative maintenance and inspections across a diverse account base.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and controls-related issues; identify root causes of failures.
  • Present findings and recommendations clearly to facility managers and commercial clients.
  • Document all work performed and parts used with accuracy.
  • Spot and communicate add-on service or replacement opportunities.
  • Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment to a professional standard; represent the company well on every site.
