Building and Construction Superintendent

Job Description
As an Building and Construction Superintendent, you will:
- Oversee all onsite construction activities from mobilization through project completion
- Manage subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to ensure productivity and quality workmanship
- Maintain project schedules and coordinate daily construction activities
- Enforce site safety standards and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality control reviews
- Coordinate deliveries, logistics, and manpower planning within a complex urban environment
- Work closely with Project Managers to monitor budgets, schedules, and project milestones
- Lead subcontractor meetings and communicate project expectations effectively
- Resolve field issues proactively to minimize delays and maintain project progress
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with project plans, specifications, and local building codes

The Successful Applicant
An ideal Building and Construction Superintendent, will have:
- 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial construction projects
- Experience managing projects in Manhattan or dense urban environments
- Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and sequencing
- Proven ability to lead field teams and subcontractors
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and jobsite safety practices
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Proficiency with construction management software is preferred
- OSHA 30 certification preferred
