In this field-based role, you’ll be the trusted specialist keeping Chick-fil-A restaurant equipment and facility systems running at peak performance—working independently in your local area and backed by best-in-class technical, operational, and OEM support.

What a day looks like

Morning begins with reviewing service tickets and parts availability. You map your local route, arrive on site, and methodically diagnose hot-side cooking equipment, sealed refrigeration, and base-building HVAC. You consult equipment manuals and manufacturers as needed, collaborate with the Chick-fil-A Technical Assistance Team while on site, and execute precise repairs or installations. You wrap up by documenting work orders, updating truck stock, and communicating status to the Operator—ready for the next call.

Your impact

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, install, and remove commercial kitchen equipment
• Service commercial cooking, refrigeration (including sealed systems), specialty foodservice equipment, and base building HVAC systems
• Respond to Operator requests within established service level agreements (SLAs)
• Work across brands such as Henny Penny, Follett, Lennox (HVAC), Traulsen, Hobart mixers, Champion dishwashers, and Garland Grill
• Partner with manufacturers for diagnosis support and parts identification; install ordered parts accurately and professionally
• Consult with the Chick-fil-A Technical Assistance Team while onsite
• Complete precise documentation: work orders, time, receipts, and truck stock inventory
• Keep your service vehicle, tools, and parts organized for maximum efficiency
• Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency response during non-standard hours
• Follow safe work practices and accident-prevention procedures; maintain productivity to company standards
• Engage in continuous OEM training and certifications; collaborate with suppliers and network partners

What you bring

• Technical trade school training and/or substantial hands-on experience
• 5+ years in a related skilled trade (or equivalent experience)
• Background in one or more: sealed refrigeration/HVAC, electrical, mechanical systems, process controls, hot-side cooking equipment and/or mechanical power transmission
• Experience servicing kitchen equipment, facilities, or construction systems
• EPA Universal Certification
• Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and a safe driving record (MVR required); able to safely operate company vehicles
• Strong mechanical aptitude; expert troubleshooting; able to read diagrams and schematics
• Comfort with Microsoft Word, Excel, and mobile service apps
• Clear written and verbal communication; self-starter who thrives independently; positive, service-first mindset

Travel and schedule

• 100% travel within your defined local market
• Limited overnight travel, primarily for onboarding and training

Physical demands

• Work extended periods during emergencies or priority situations (including overtime)
• Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
• Climb ladders and stairs up to two stories (ladder safety training provided). Note: roof access ladders are on site; loading/unloading a large ladder from the van is not typical.
• Frequent bending, twisting, kneeling, crouching, and crawling
• Extended standing and walking on even and uneven surfaces
• Frequent use of arms, wrists, and hands to operate tools and machinery
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
