Job Summary: The Commercial Lender is responsible for developing and managing a commercial loan portfolio. This role involves building relationships with business clients, assessing their financial needs, and providing tailored lending solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of commercial lending practices, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain a portfolio of commercial loans.
Identify and cultivate new business opportunities through networking and relationship building.
Evaluate loan applications, including financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant information.
Structure loan terms and conditions to meet the needs of clients while adhering to bank policies and regulations.
Monitor loan performance and manage risk within the portfolio.
Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients throughout the lending process.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of banking services.
Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commercial lending or a related field.
Strong knowledge of commercial lending practices, credit analysis, and financial statement analysis.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and banking software.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
