Description

Overview:

Responsible for managing and performing a variety of functions to meet the Commercial Banking needs of business customers; achieve customer service goals: comply with operating policies and procedures; communicate with appropriate personnel; respond to inquiries or requests for information; maintain appropriate records and providing assigned reports; provide guidance, mentoring, and on-the-job training and management to assigned staff. Lead and supervise the Commercial Banking Administrative team with their support of the Commercial Lending team.

Responsibilities:
  • Directly supervise assigned personnel as follows:
    • Directly oversee the outcomes and contributions of a team of individuals.
    • Promote a positive and welcoming organizational culture that aligns with the company’s values.

    • Assist in the selection of new personnel as appropriate.
    • Make provisions for the proper orientation and training of new personnel.
    • Review employee performance throughout the introductory period and on a regularly scheduled basis thereafter.
    • Organize, schedule, and distribute work among assigned personnel.
    • Manage resources to ensure the team has the equipment needed to perform tasks; actively seek opportunities to coordinate with other departments to improve operations, service, and technology to meet the Company’s objectives
    • Keep personnel informed of pertinent policies and procedures affecting the department and/or their jobs.
    • Administers personnel policies and procedures as established by Company policy.
  • Perform a variety of duties to meet the commercial service needs of business customers as follows:
    • Maintain a thorough knowledge of the features and benefits of all bank commercial products and services to ascertain customer needs and ensure timely service.
    • Coordinate loan closings and act as liaison with closing attorneys and lenders and ensure that all necessary fees are collected and documents are obtained. 
    • Electronically file documents into the imaged folders, prepare loan cover sheets to assist with the image processing and archiving.
    • Prepare new or renewed loan and collateral documents per requests and approvals from lender and/or loan committees. 
    • Process loan disbursement, pay downs, and miscellaneous internal transfers to new and existing loan via on-line batches for Commercial Operations team.
    • Upon request, prepare and submit information for outgoing wire transfers for customers, following established procedures.
    • Prepare Loan documents as requested using internal documentation systems
    • Maintain a working knowledge of bank operating policies and procedures which impact commercial services.
    • Ensure that procedures are followed.
    • Manage commercial loan closing processes.
  • Comply with established operating policies and procedures to maintain adequate controls and to support the Company’s adherence to outside regulatory requirements.
  • Cooperate with, participate in, and support the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the Company's compliance with all regulatory requirements, e.g. Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act, etc.
  • Communicate with management and staff personnel to integrate goals and activities.
  • Maintain appropriate records and provides assigned reports.
  • Contribute to special initiatives and ad hoc assignments that support evolving business needs and personal professional development
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED
  • A minimum of 5-10 years’ experience in commercial lending administration.
  • Paralegal or college degree preferred.
  • Supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Proficient interpersonal relations, communicative, and sales skills.
  • Proficient PC skills; strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to plan and organize appropriately; administer and prioritize; monitor and evaluate the workflow of projects and activities.
