Description

LHH is working with a highly respected Minneapolis law firm is seeking an experienced Commercial Lending Paralegal to support attorneys handling sophisticated commercial lending and real estate transactions. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented legal professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working directly with clients, lenders, and attorneys throughout the lending process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review title commitments, title policies, surveys, and related real estate documents.

  • Prepare initial drafts of loan documents, amendments, and ancillary closing documents.

  • Draft closing instruction letters and assist with transaction coordination.

  • Review and organize due diligence materials, including UCC searches, organizational documents, and insurance certificates.

  • Maintain and update closing checklists and due diligence sites.

  • Coordinate communications between attorneys, clients, lenders, and third parties.

  • Manage transaction timelines and ensure deadlines are met.

  • Support attorneys through all stages of commercial lending and real estate transactions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent legal experience.

  • Minimum of 3 years of commercial lending, real estate, or finance-related paralegal experience.

  • Law firm or financial institution experience preferred.

  • Strong understanding of lending transactions, due diligence review, and closing procedures.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and proofreading abilities.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a legal office environment.

  • Experience providing administrative and transaction support.

  • Familiarity with iManage and Intapp.
