The Commercial Lines Account Manager plays a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing customer relations, serving as the primary point of contact for clients seeking information, and support for current and renewal insurance policies. The end goal of this position is to create an exceptional customer experience, maximize policy retention, and uncover cross-sell opportunities for the agency.

Responsibilities
Accountable for the client relationship, account retention, and developing a comprehensive and competitive insurance program.
Work independently to inform and educate clients on policy changes, exclusions, insurance coverages, and insurance industry trends.
Respond to client and insurance carrier requests within agreed upon timeframes.
Manage renewal workflow for assigned book of business, avoiding any lapse in coverage.
Work with Producer and/or Marketing Account Executive to monitor and manage the renewal process for assigned clients. Provide analysis and recommendation of coverage needs to present to client.
Negotiate renewal and/or new line of coverage with knowledge of carrier underwriting guidelines.
Prepare proposals and summaries of insurance, as needed.
Assist clients with claims reporting.
Adhere to companys credit and collection policy in invoicing and pursuing prompt payments. Request cancellations in accordance with company standards.
Keep current on industry information, technology, and trends.
Active appropriate 220 FL insurance license in good standing is required.
United States citizenship or its equivalent.
3+ years of commercial lines account management experience; or 5+ years related experience in the insurance industry.
In-depth knowledge and understanding of insurance products, coverages, and industry practices.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
Ability to address and resolve customer issues effectively and efficiently.
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Meticulous attention to detail and precision in data entry and information management to ensure accuracy in customer transactions and records.
Proficiency in using computers, agency management software, and other relevant technologies.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Ability to innovate and provide constructive feedback to clients and others.
Self-Discipline to work effectively in a remote work environment.
Ability to ask questions and ask for help when needed.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
Applied Epic Agency management system proficiency preferred
5+ years of commercial lines account management experience.
Strong network within the insurance industry.
