Job DetailsWe are seeking a litigation associate with early-career experience handling complex business disputes. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced litigators on sophisticated matters, take on increasing responsibility, and gain exposure to all phases of the litigation process. We are looking for someone who enjoys advocacy, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is eager to develop both courtroom and client-facing skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist with all phases of litigation from case inception through resolution
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, memoranda, and other court filings
• Conduct legal research and analyze complex legal issues
• Prepare and respond to written discovery requests
• Take and defend depositions and assist with witness preparation
• Attend court appearances, conferences, hearings, and other proceedings
• Support trial preparation, including exhibit management and case strategy development
• Collaborate with attorneys across practice areas on litigation and related disputes
• Manage day-to-day case responsibilities while maintaining strong client service standards
• Participate in strategic analysis and case evaluation efforts
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of commercial, business, or complex litigation experience
• Experience drafting substantive motions, briefs, and discovery materials
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Excellent oral advocacy and communication abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
• Demonstrated interest in intellectual property disputes is a plus
• Prior judicial clerkship experience is helpful but not required
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Requirements
- Active license to practice law in Massachusetts and/or Connecticut
• Strong academic credentials and commitment to professional development
