The Opportunity
This role is ideal for an attorney who wants to do meaningful, complex work while developing under experienced mentors. You will gain hands-on exposure across all phases of litigation and play a critical role in driving client outcomes. This is a full-time position in Albany, NY.
Key Responsibilities
- Support all aspects of commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and legal memoranda
- Conduct legal research and contribute to case strategy
- Handle discovery processes, including e-discovery and document review
- Participate in depositions, hearings, and trial
- Collaborate closely with partners and clients on case strategy
Ideal Background
- 2–10 years of experience in commercial or business litigation
- Strong writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
- Experience with pleadings, motion practice, discovery, trial prep
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- JD from an accredited law school and admission to the New York Bar
Candidates whose experience is limited to personal injury, insurance defense, consumer credit or residential/foreclosure work are not the ideal fit for this role.
