Commercial Litigation Associate

A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate with 3-5 years of experience to join its Dallas office. This opportunity offers exposure to sophisticated commercial disputes and financial services-related matters while working alongside a collaborative and respected litigation team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with all phases of complex commercial litigation matters
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents
  • Conduct legal research and analysis
  • Manage discovery and deposition preparation
  • Take and defend depositions
  • Participate in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution proceedings
  • Communicate directly with clients and assist in developing litigation strategies
  • Collaborate with attorneys across the firm on high-stakes commercial matters

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Active Texas bar license
  • 3-5 years of commercial litigation experience
  • Experience handling pleadings, motion practice, discovery, and depositions
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong academic credentials and sound professional judgment

Preferred Experience

  • Exposure to trial, arbitration, or evidentiary hearing proceedings
  • Experience involving financial services, banking, or complex commercial disputes
  • Ability to develop practical, client-focused litigation strategies
