Our law firm is seeking a dynamic a Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial litigation, with a focus on intellectual property, business torts, and corporate governance. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing cases independently, conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and providing sound legal advice to clients. This is an exciting opportunity to join a prestigious law firm and work on complex commercial litigation cases.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with commercial litigation matters from inception to conclusion, including discovery, trial, and appeal.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to advise clients on various legal issues.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, defend depositions, and argue motions.
  • Develop litigation strategies and present cases in court.
  • Handle intellectual property cases, including patent, trademark, and trade secrets litigation.
  • Deal with business torts, including fraud, breach of contract, and unfair competition.
  • Advise clients on corporate governance issues and represent them in shareholder disputes.
  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws, court decisions, and trends in the field of commercial litigation.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys in the firm to ensure client satisfaction.

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New York State Bar.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in commercial litigation.
  • Proven experience in intellectual property litigation, business torts, and corporate governance.
  • Exceptional ability to draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Strong skills in legal research and analysis.
  • Proven ability to manage cases independently, argue motions, defend depositions, and try cases.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High ethical standards and professional integrity.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
  • Ability to maintain client confidentiality at all times.
