Commercial Litigation Associate

A respected Portland law firm is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate to join its growing litigation practice.

This position offers the opportunity to work on a broad range of business disputes, take an active role in litigation strategy, and gain meaningful responsibility in a collaborative and professional environment. Responsibilities

• Manage commercial litigation matters through all phases of the litigation process
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery
• Conduct legal research and prepare written analyses
• Take and defend depositions
• Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings
• Communicate directly with clients regarding case strategy and developments
• Work closely with attorneys and clients on complex business disputes
• Assist with case evaluation, strategy development, and resolution efforts

Qualifications

• Active Oregon Bar license or ability to obtain admission
• 3+ years of litigation experience
• Experience with commercial, business, contract, partnership, shareholder, real estate, or related civil litigation matters preferred
• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
• Experience handling depositions and court appearances
• Ability to independently manage matters while working effectively within a team environment

Salary: $145,000 – $195,000
