Job Details
We are seeking a talented 4th–5th year Litigation Associate to join its sophisticated Commercial Litigation practice in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will have experience managing all phases of complex commercial litigation, including legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, written discovery, depositions, and trial preparation and support.
The practice handles a broad range of high-stakes commercial disputes, with exposure to matters involving emerging technologies and digital assets, corporate governance, partnership and shareholder disputes, business breakups, and insurance coverage and recovery matters. Experience in any of these areas is a plus.
The successful candidate will have strong analytical, writing, oral advocacy, and case-management skills, with the ability to take ownership of matters while working effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Qualifications
4th–5th year Litigation Associate with experience handling complex commercial litigation.
Must be admitted to practice in Washington, D.C.
Strong academic credentials and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with all aspects of litigation, including written discovery, pleadings, dispositive motions, depositions, witness preparation, hearings, and trial preparation/support.
Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and case-management skills.
Experience taking and/or defending depositions and arguing motions is strongly preferred.
Experience representing both plaintiff and defense-side clients is a plus.
Exposure to corporate governance, partnership/shareholder disputes, emerging technologies/digital assets, or insurance coverage and recovery matters is a plus.
Candidates should be proactive, collaborative, and comfortable working on sophisticated, high-value matters with increasing levels of responsibility.
