A bit about us:A leading national law firm is seeking an experienced Commercial Litigation Trial Attorney to join its Chicago office.
This opportunity is geared toward a litigator who wants to actually try cases, not simply manage discovery and prepare matters for a senior partner to take to trial. The ideal candidate will have meaningful courtroom and trial experience and be comfortable taking ownership of sophisticated commercial matters from inception through verdict.
The practice handles a broad range of complex business disputes, including financial services litigation, real estate disputes, contract matters, business torts, and other commercial litigation.
The firm offers a hybrid schedule, strong resources and support, and opportunities for attorneys interested in continuing to develop their own business.

Job DetailsIdeal Background:
- Active Illinois Bar admission in good standing
- Significant commercial/business litigation experience
- Meaningful first- or second-chair trial experience
- Strong deposition and courtroom experience
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage sophisticated cases through trial
- Excellent oral advocacy, legal writing, and litigation strategy skills
- Portable business is welcomed but not necessarily required
- Interest in continuing to develop client relationships and grow a practice
