Commercial Loan Portfolio Assistant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnered with a company in the banking industry who is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Commercial Loan Portfolio Assistant to support commercial lending operations and portfolio management activities. This role serves as a key partner to lending, credit, and operations teams, helping facilitate a seamless loan process from documentation and closing coordination through ongoing portfolio maintenance and client support. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide administrative and operational support to commercial lending and credit teams.
- Coordinate the collection of financial statements, loan documentation, and supporting materials from clients and internal stakeholders.
- Assist in preparing and organizing commercial credit packages for underwriting and approval processes.
- Generate and review loan documents, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Coordinate loan closings with title companies, legal partners, and internal departments.
- Maintain commercial loan files and monitor documentation requirements throughout the life of the relationship.
- Follow up with clients to obtain required information and support ongoing portfolio maintenance.
- Track, review, and assist in resolving documentation and loan-related exceptions.
- Partner with lending and operations teams to address client inquiries and ensure timely issue resolution.
- Support reporting activities, including portfolio tracking, loan pipeline updates, and departmental metrics.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial banking, loan operations, credit administration, loan servicing, or a related financial services role.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field preferred.
- Notary certification is a plus
- Strong understanding of commercial lending processes, loan documentation, and portfolio administration.
- Excellent organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively across departments and build productive working relationships.
- Experience handling sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience with loan documentation software, CRM platforms, or banking systems is preferred.
Pay Details: $55,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year
