Build sophisticated commercial plumbing systems that run flawlessly

Picture your day: you arrive on a bustling job site in Philadelphia or South Jersey, review coordinated MEP drawings with the GC, lay out risers and branch lines, and lead the installation of domestic water, sanitary, storm, natural gas, and compressed air piping. By afternoon, you’re diagnosing a service call, mentoring a helper through a brazed joint on copper, and closing the day with accurate work orders and a spotless safety record.

What you’ll tackle

• Install, repair, and maintain commercial plumbing systems: domestic hot/cold water, sanitary and storm drainage, natural gas, and compressed air.
• Interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, specifications, and riser diagrams; lay out work per design documents and applicable codes (IPC/UPC).
• Rough-in and set commercial fixtures across restrooms, mechanical rooms, kitchens, and utility areas.
• Fabricate and assemble pipe in copper, cast iron, CPVC, PVC, black iron, and stainless steel using soldering, threading, grooved, and press-fit methods.
• Execute diagnostics, identify root causes of failures, and perform corrective repairs on service calls.
• Coordinate daily with general contractors, site supers, and other trades to keep schedules on track and standards high.
• Uphold OSHA requirements and company safety policies at all times.
• Care for company tools, vehicles, and equipment; report deficiencies promptly.
• Complete work orders, time sheets, and material requisitions accurately and on time.
• Mentor and provide on-the-job direction to Plumber Helpers.

What you bring

• 5+ years of commercial plumbing experience (new construction, TI, and/or service).
• PA and/or NJ Journeyman Plumber license strongly preferred; candidates actively pursuing licensure with proven experience will be considered.
• Proficiency reading commercial construction documents and MEP plans/specs.
• Working knowledge of applicable plumbing codes (IPC with local amendments).
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification, or willingness to obtain.
• Self-directed with strong time management across multiple job sites.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; able to operate company vehicles.
• Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs., work in confined spaces, climb ladders/scaffolding, and perform sustained overhead work.
• Professional communication; comfortable interacting with clients, GC personnel, and inspectors.

Preferred

• Backflow prevention testing and certification.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs and service contracts.
• Background in healthcare, education, or multi-tenant commercial construction.
• Prior supervision of helpers or small crews.

Territory

Serve projects throughout the Philadelphia and South Jersey markets.

Compensation & benefits

• Hourly rate: $34.00 – $46.00/hr, based on experience and licensure.
