The Commercial Operations & Growth Manager supports commercial development and profitability through business analysis, reporting, project management, and process improvement. This role provides insights, tools, and operational support that help Sales Leadership make informed decisions and execute key commercial priorities.
Responsibilities include business planning, KPI tracking, revenue and volume performance management, strategic project support, and sales operations enablement. The role partners closely with Sales, Finance, Marketing, Demand Planning, and other cross-functional teams to improve commercial performance and execution.
The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills, business acumen, and project management capabilities. They can translate complex data into actionable recommendations, build scalable and repeatable sales management processes, and drive progress on ambiguous action plans independently.
As a trusted advisor to commercial leadership, this role helps align leadership around key business priorities, supports strategic decision-making, and drives continuous improvements in efficiency and effectiveness of the sales team.

What You'll Do:
Business Performance Management & Reporting
Lead the Monthly Business Review (MBR) process, including reporting, analysis, team presentation management and drive action plans
Monitor business performance and identify trends, risks, opportunities, and recommended actions
Develop and maintain sales dashboards, KPIs, and reporting tools
Track customer performance against annual plans, forecasts, and KPIs
Support executive/Board material development
Revenue Forecasting & Performance Management
Lead bi-weekly Revenue Pacing meetings with Sales Leadership
Partner with Finance, Demand Planning, and Revenue Growth Management to improve planning and visibility
Communicate key risks, opportunities, and action plans throughout the quarter
Sales Communications & Enablement
Channel Planning & Sales team meeting management (calendar invites, agenda, content)
Manage the weekly Sales Newsletter and other key commercial communications
Development quarterly retailer newsletter
Lead monthly insights readouts, share business updates, performance highlights, best practices, and market wins
Support content development for sales meetings, leadership reviews, and planning sessions
Customer Intelligence & Process Improvement
Develop and maintain customer profile templates and performance tracking tools
Maintain customer - retail annual sell-in timeline
Establish standards for customer information management and sales activity reporting
Drive process improvements that increase sales productivity and efficiency
Sales Strategy & Commercial Operations
Oversees AOP planning process and execution management
Partner with Revenue Growth Management on pricing, promotion, assortment, and trade investment analysis
Assist with sales incentive programs, scorecards, and performance tracking
Data Analytics & Insights
Analyze customer-level, and internal sales and operational data to identify growth/profit opportunities and business risks
Develop executive-level reporting and ad hoc analyses
Translate insights into clear business recommendations
Cross-Functional Leadership
Partner with Sales, Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain, Category Management, teams
Coordinate key initiatives and deliverables across functions
Support strategic projects and provide sales-focused inputs and perspectives to internal cross-functional process improvements
Lead or contribute to cross-functional initiatives that improve business performance
Sales Process & Operational Excellence
Establish and maintain standard planning and reporting processes
Improving reporting, automation, and system utilization
Manage and streamline sales-driven Risk & Opportunities Manager (R&O) manager
Drive new item launch checklist and core sell deck templating
Recommend and implement best practices that improve organizational effectiveness
Who You Are:

What You'll Need:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred
4-6+ years in commercial strategy, sales operations, corporate strategy, or consulting-ideally in CPG, beverage, or retail sectors
Strong analytical background with advanced Excel and financial modeling capabilities.
Familiarity with CRM implementation & Power BI and ERP integrations a plus
Excellent project management, stakeholder engagement, and executive communication skills
Proven ability to balance strategic thinking with executional detail in a growth environment

Compensation
The anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $135,000 to $145,000 annually for US-based employees. This range reflects the minimum and maximum base salary for the position across all US locations, is based on a full-time work schedule, and represents Welch's good faith estimate as of the date of this posting.
Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for participation in a bonus plan.
