Construction Project Manager

Our client is a full-service General Contractor and Construction Manager that has been serving the New Jersey market for more than 20 years. They are seeking a motivated Project Manager who wants to grow alongside the business and take ownership of exciting commercial construction projects.

The Construction Project Manager will:

  1. Provide overall leadership and direction to project teams from preconstruction through closeout
  2. Manage and develop assigned staff toward maximum job performance and career growth
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, subcontractors, vendors, and clients
  4. Understand, negotiate, and administer contracts and subcontract agreements
  5. Establish, communicate, and implement project schedules and milestones
  6. Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting
  7. Analyze project reports to ensure adherence to budget and schedule objectives
  8. Lead project meetings and coordinate all project stakeholders
  9. Manage procurement activities and subcontractor buyouts
  10. Oversee the Quality Assurance/Quality Control program
  11. Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies
  12. Provide leadership during contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and change order management
  13. Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to client expectations

The successful Construction Project Manager will have the following:

  • 6+ years of Commercial Construction Project Management experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field strongly preferred
  • Experience managing ground-up and renovation commercial projects
  • OSHA certification preferred
  • Proficiency with project management and scheduling software
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, scheduling, and contract administration
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated success delivering projects on time and within budget
