Job Description
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage commercial, higher education, and institutional construction projects from planning through completion
- Drive project schedules, budgets, and overall project performance
- Lead project teams and foster collaboration between field and office personnel
- Create and maintain project work plans, schedules, and cost forecasts
- Manage subcontractor procurement, contracts, and buyout activities
- Deliver projects safely, on schedule, and within budget
- Coordinate architects, engineers, owners, consultants, and trade partners
- Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements
- Monitor project financials, costs, billings, and profitability
- Create solutions and proactively resolve project challenges
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
- Run project meetings and provide regular updates to stakeholders
- Maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle
The successful applicant:
- Has 5+ years of experience as a Construction Project Manager
- Has proven experience managing ground-up commercial, education, or higher education construction projects
- Has experience delivering projects valued at $10M or greater
- Has a strong understanding of construction management principles, budgeting, scheduling, and contract administration
- Has experience managing multiple stakeholders and project teams
- Has strong financial acumen and ability to manage project costs and forecasting
- Has experience coordinating subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and owners
