Commercial Property Accountant

Compensation: $66,000–$100,000 salary
Location: Minneapolis, MN (Hybrid)

A well‑established organization is seeking a Commercial Property Accountant to join a collaborative, highly tenured accounting team. This role is a backfill due to internal movement and is ideal for someone who enjoys owning the full accounting cycle for real estate portfolios and wants long‑term growth in a stable environment.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review monthly financial statements for commercial properties
Record accruals, journal entries, and account reconciliations
Own budgets, reforecasts, and year‑end operating expense/CAM reconciliations
Track capital projects, WIP, and assets placed into service
Perform general ledger analysis and resolve variances
Support audits, tax preparation, and special projects
Work within an ERP environment to ensure accuracy and compliance

What They’re Looking For

2–5+ years of experience in commercial real estate or property accounting
Hands‑on experience with budgets, CAM reconciliations, and full‑cycle accounting
ERP experience (Yardi, MRI, JDE, or similar preferred)
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
