Travel compensation: For assignments requiring travel 60+ miles beyond Carlsbad, CA, receive Per Diem + Lodging + Drive Time & Mileage.

A day in your boots

You roll onto a commercial solar site and get right to work: laying out racking, pulling conduit, landing terminations, and verifying every connection on large-scale PV systems. You collaborate with a team that moves quickly and safely, then test and commission inverters, combiner boxes, transformers, and switchgear so the array can deliver power on schedule. By week’s end, you’ve helped energize another system and are already prepping for the next site somewhere else in California.

What you’ll tackle

• Install, terminate, and test AC/DC wiring, inverters, combiner boxes, transformers, switchgear, and related equipment for commercial solar PV.
• Set modules and racking; run EMT, PVC, and rigid conduit; implement wire management; build underground and above-ground raceway systems.
• Travel statewide as projects require and adapt to different site conditions and schedules.

What you bring

• Valid California General Electrician Certification (Blue Card) — required.
• Skilled & Trained Journeyman Electrician status with documentation (completion of WECA, ABC, or IBEW/JATC apprenticeship, or equivalent project-accepted proof).
• Hands-on experience with commercial PV installations and troubleshooting.
