Summary:We are seeking a Real Estate Associate with 3–6 years of commercial real estate experience to join a nationally recognized real estate practice. This role is ideal for an attorney who enjoys working on sophisticated real estate transactions involving acquisitions, dispositions, financing, leasing, and development projects. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced partners and clients on complex matters while continuing to build a strong transactional practice in a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment. What You'll Do:- Represent clients in commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, and financing transactions.
- Draft, review, and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, loan documents, leases, easements, and related transactional documents.
- Conduct and coordinate title and survey review, due diligence, and closing activities.
- Assist clients with commercial leasing matters, including office, retail, industrial, and mixed-use properties.
- Support financing transactions involving lenders, borrowers, and institutional investors.
- Coordinate transaction closings while managing multiple matters simultaneously.
- Perform legal research and prepare memoranda regarding real estate and transactional issues.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary legal teams to provide practical, business-focused legal solutions.
- Maintain strong client relationships while delivering exceptional legal service.
Experience You'll Need:- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Active member of the Illinois State Bar.
- 3–6 years of commercial real estate transactional experience.
- At least 2 years of law firm experience.
- Experience handling acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and commercial leasing transactions.
- Experience conducting title and survey review and coordinating transaction closings.
- Strong contract drafting, negotiation, and transactional management skills.
- Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
- Outstanding academic credentials and strong attention to detail.
