Salary: $300,000 - $340,000 per year
A bit about us:Our client is a Manhattan-based boutique law firm founded within the last decade by partners who left Am Law 100 real estate practices to build something more focused. The Firm has grown to roughly 35 attorneys and staff across commercial real estate transactions, litigation, employment, and private wealth services. The office culture is casual and collaborative, without being any less demanding on the work itself.
Why join us?- Sophisticated, exclusively complex commercial work, without a large-firm bureaucracy
- A 1,650-hour billable target
- Direct partner access and a clear path to grow within a small, expanding group
- Compensation starting at $300,000, scaled to experience and level
- Located in the heart of Manhattan, with a hybrid schedule of 3-4 days in the office
Job DetailsThe group is hiring a counsel- or partner-level commercial real estate attorney to help service and expand a growing book. This is a run-the-deal seat: you will take ownership of complex commercial transactions from structuring through closing, manage counterparties and clients directly, and operate with minimal oversight. Attorneys who can supervise and train junior lawyers and paralegals will find that valued and rewarded. A portable book is a plus but not a requirement; the pipeline is full regardless.
Qualifications:
- JD from an accredited law school; active New York bar admission
- 8+ years of commercial real estate transactional experience, with a track record of leading deals of $20 million or more
- Experience across acquisitions, dispositions, financing, joint ventures, and leasing; development and ground lease experience a plus
- Ability to independently manage deals and client relationships
- Interest in mentoring junior attorneys and paralegals
