We are seeking a Mid-Level Commercial Real Estate Attorney to join a dynamic transactional team focused on commercial leasing and purchase/sale transactions across retail and commercial assets. This is a fully remote, flexible (30+ hours/week) opportunity offering meaningful deal exposure and the chance to work closely with experienced real estate attorneys on active, complex matters.
Responsibilities
Manage commercial real estate transactions from inception through closing and lease commencement, including deal tracking, closing checklists, and coordination of due diligence materials
Conduct comprehensive title and survey review, identify issues, and prepare clear, detailed title summaries with recommended resolutions
Draft, review, and revise key transaction documents, including:
Commercial leases (retail and office)
Purchase and sale agreements
Declarations, easements, covenants, conditions, and restrictions (CC&Rs)
Support all phases of leasing and acquisition transactions, including negotiation support and document coordination
Assist with retail redevelopment matters, including review of property approvals, restrictions, and deal-specific constraints
Coordinate deal deadlines and communicate effectively with attorneys, clients, and internal team members
Support active transactions in a second-chair role, working closely with senior attorneys on execution and closing
Assist with additional commercial real estate matters and special projects as needed
Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law school
Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
3-6 years of commercial real estate transactional experience at a law firm
Strong experience with:
Commercial leasing transactions
Purchase and sale transactions
Title and survey review (significant experience required)
Experience preparing or reviewing title summaries and resolving title issues strongly preferred
Retail real estate, restaurant, or outparcel transaction experience is a plus
Strong drafting, analytical, and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple active matters and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable working independently in a fully remote, 30+ hour/week structure
Ability to function effectively in a second-chair/support role on transactions

Fully remote position
Minimum 30+ hours per week required
Some schedule flexibility available, with required availability during core business hours for team collaboration, client coordination, and deal activity
Limited concurrent work may be permitted, provided it does not interfere with workload, deadlines, or firm responsibilities
