LHH is seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Attorney for a contract opportunity with a respected client in the Tampa area. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with strong commercial real estate experience who can step in quickly and support ongoing transactions, leasing matters, acquisitions, and development projects. The ideal candidate will be a business-minded legal professional with experience handling sophisticated real estate transactions and providing practical legal guidance to internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial real estate documents, including:

  • Purchase and sale agreements

  • Commercial leases and amendments

  • Development agreements

  • Easements and restrictive covenants

  • Loan and financing documents

  • Due diligence materials

  • Manage real estate transactions from initial contract through closing.

  • Conduct title and survey review and identify risks associated with acquisitions and dispositions.

  • Support commercial development, construction, and land use matters.

  • Collaborate with business leaders, outside counsel, lenders, brokers, and other stakeholders.

  • Provide legal advice regarding real estate transactions, risk management, and compliance issues.

  • Assist with special projects and overflow legal work as needed.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

  • Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

  • 5+ years of commercial real estate experience, either in a law firm or in-house legal department.

  • Strong experience handling acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing transactions.

  • Ability to independently manage multiple matters and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.

  • Florida Bar admission preferred but not required, depending on assignment.
