About the Opportunity

A growing financial services organization is seeking a Senior, Underwriter to join its credit and underwriting team. This individual will support the underwriting, structuring, and execution of new financing opportunities across a diverse mix of transaction types and deal structures.

This is a strong opportunity for an underwriting professional who enjoys broad deal exposure, direct involvement in the transaction process, and the ability to work closely with senior members of the finance, credit, and portfolio teams.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite and evaluate new financing opportunities.
• Prepare credit memoranda, financial models, sensitivity analyses, and transaction summaries.
• Analyze client strength, financial performance, market conditions, collateral, and deal structure.
• Review diligence materials, including financial statements, market data, third-party reports, and legal documentation.
• Partner with internal teams throughout the underwriting, approval, closing, and post-closing process.
• Work with external parties to gather information and support transaction execution.
• Identify key risks, mitigants, and credit considerations for each transaction.
• Maintain accurate underwriting files and internal documentation.

 

Target Background

• 8-10+ years of underwriting, credit, or lending experience.
• Experience underwriting financing opportunities across multiple transaction types and structures.
• Strong Excel-based financial modeling skills.
• Familiarity with underwriting tools and market research platforms.
• Ability to evaluate credit quality, structure, risk, and deal economics.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, transaction-oriented environment.
